Prayer Time is developed and published by Corenod (“Corenod”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application Prayer Time (“App”) handles user information, permissions, third-party services, notifications, and privacy-related practices.

By using Prayer Time, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. About the App

Prayer Time is a simple prayer time application designed to help users view daily Islamic prayer times based on their selected city. The App allows users to search for a city, select it from search results, save the selected city on the device, and view daily prayer times such as Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha.

The App may also provide prayer time reminders through local device notifications, if the user grants notification permission.

Prayer Time is designed to be lightweight, simple, and easy to use. The App does not require users to create an account.

2. Information We Collect

Prayer Time does not require registration and does not ask users to provide personal information such as name, email address, phone number, password, or profile information.

However, the App may process limited information necessary for its core functionality:

a. City Search Query

When a user types a city name in the App, the search query may be sent to a third-party geocoding service in order to find matching cities.

This is necessary so the App can show city suggestions such as city name, region, country, latitude, and longitude.

b. Selected City Information

When a user selects a city, the App may save the following information locally on the user’s device:

- City name
- Country name
- Latitude
- Longitude

This information is stored locally on the device using Android local storage, such as SharedPreferences. It is used to remember the selected city and load prayer times automatically the next time the App is opened.

Corenod does not use this information to personally identify the user.

c. Prayer Time Data

The App may send the selected city coordinates, such as latitude and longitude, to a third-party prayer time API in order to calculate and display prayer times.

The App does not send the user’s name, email, phone number, or account information because the App does not collect such information.

d. Notification Permission

If the user enables prayer reminders, the App may request notification permission. This permission is used only to show prayer time reminders on the device.

Users can allow or deny notification permission at any time. Users can also disable notifications from the Android system settings.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

Prayer Time does not collect:

- User name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Passwords
- Contacts
- Photos or videos
- Microphone recordings
- Camera data
- Payment information
- Messages
- Calendar data
- Precise GPS location in the background
- Account login data

The App does not require account creation.

4. Location and City Data

Prayer Time does not require continuous GPS tracking.

The App is based on user-selected city search. When a user searches for and selects a city, the App uses the selected city’s coordinates to calculate prayer times.

If future versions of the App add device location features, we will update this Privacy Policy and request the required permissions clearly before accessing location data.

5. How We Use Information

The App uses limited data only for the following purposes:

- To search for cities entered by the user
- To display matching city search results
- To save the selected city on the device
- To calculate prayer times for the selected city
- To show daily prayer times
- To show local prayer time notifications if permission is granted
- To improve the basic functionality and reliability of the App

We do not use city search or prayer time data for advertising profiling.

6. Third-Party Services

Prayer Time may use third-party services to provide city search and prayer time calculation.

These services may receive limited technical information necessary to process requests, such as:

- City search text entered by the user
- Selected city coordinates
- Device network request information, such as IP address, which may be processed automatically by the third-party service when making an internet request

Third-party services used by the App may include:

- Geocoding services for city search
- Prayer time calculation services for Islamic prayer times

These third-party services have their own privacy practices. Corenod does not control how third-party services process data beyond the requests made by the App.

7. Notifications

Prayer Time may provide local notifications for prayer reminders.

Notifications are used to remind the user when a prayer time begins. The App may schedule notifications based on the prayer times calculated for the selected city.

Notification permission is requested only when necessary. If the user does not grant notification permission, the App can still be used to view prayer times, but prayer reminders may not appear.

Users can manage or disable notification permissions at any time through Android system settings.

8. Data Storage

The selected city information is stored locally on the user’s device.

This may include:

- City name
- Country name
- Latitude
- Longitude

This local data is used only to remember the selected city and improve user convenience.

Corenod does not operate a user account database for this App and does not store selected city data on Corenod servers.

Users can clear this data by clearing the App data from Android settings or uninstalling the App.

9. Data Sharing

Corenod does not sell user data.

Corenod does not share personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.

Limited data may be sent to third-party APIs only when necessary for App functionality, such as city search and prayer time calculation.

10. Advertising

The current version of Prayer Time does not require users to create an account and does not use personal user profiles for advertising.

If advertising is added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what advertising services are used and what data may be processed.

11. Children’s Privacy

Prayer Time is a general utility application for viewing prayer times. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information through the App, they may contact us and we will take appropriate action.

12. Security

We aim to use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information processed by the App.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Because the App relies on internet requests to third-party services, users should understand that network communication may involve standard technical processing by those services.

13. User Choices and Controls

Users may control their data and permissions in the following ways:

- Change the selected city inside the App
- Disable notifications in Android system settings
- Clear App data from Android system settings
- Uninstall the App to remove locally stored data
- Deny notification permission when requested

14. Account Deletion

Prayer Time does not currently provide user accounts. Therefore, there is no account deletion process inside the App.

If future versions introduce user accounts, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide a way to request account deletion.

15. International Users

Prayer Time may be used in different countries. City search and prayer time calculation may involve third-party services that process requests internationally.

By using the App, users understand that limited technical data may be processed by third-party services outside their country of residence.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Corenod may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates may be made when we add new features, change third-party services, modify data practices, or comply with legal or platform requirements.

When we update this Privacy Policy, we will change the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.

Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
